Angelina is a senior at The City College of New York majoring in English Literature. She is also an Isaacs Scholar and a Kaye Scholar at the College. She studies late nineteenth-century to mid twentieth-century visual culture and literature. She has a geographic focus on Brazil, the U.S., and Great Britain. She is particularly interested in children’s literature at the turn of the 20th century and how representations of social reproduction and intimacy in those works are used to shroud violence and hegemony. After graduating with her BA, Angelina plans to begin a PhD in Comparative Literature.
