JERRY GUILLAUME
HISTORY MAJOR
CITY COLLEGE FELLOW

Jerry Guillaume is a BA/MA student in history.  Growing up in the Brooklyn public schools, Jerry discovered his talent and passion for history during his first semester of high school, when a gifted teacher ignited his passion for learning.  At BMCC and now at CCNY, Jerry has had the privilege of taking an array of history classes focusing on world history to U.S. history.  Along his journey, Jerry has been particularly excited to gain insights from the work of social historians and to learn about the conversations historians have had about how to represent the past.

Jerry plans to continue his journey by developing a research project on the British origins of American constitutionalism, focusing on the Massachusetts and Pennsylvania state constitutions.  Upon graduation he hopes to pursue a PhD in U.S. history.
