Ramatoulaye is a sociology student who is also completing her publishing certificate at City College. She is originally from Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn and is hoping to pursue a career in higher education and activism. She is very passionate about bridging the gap between research and action and hopes to use future research to radically improve the lives of working-class people of color in the United States. Her research interests include urban sociology, race and class, sociological theory, and the sociology of food. After completing her degree in sociology, Ramatoulaye plans to pursue a PhD in sociology and teach university students.
