Sophie Ziner's interests converge at the interdisciplinary delta where queer theory, literary modernism, and phenomenology intersect. She plans to focus on liminal spaces, the borders and margins around accepted canons, and to ask questions about embodiment and orientation, relationship and representation in 20th century anglophone women's writing. She leaves behind a tech industry career to pursue scholarly ambitions. She likes bikes, dogs, and making soup.
