Popular Music Studies at CCNY is a NYSED-approved online degree that includes courses in the history, analysis, composition, and socio-cultural context of contemporary popular music. The program offers many courses in HyFlex modality, allowing students to attend regular, in-person courses, but to also have the option to complete the degree online if they wish. This flexibility can accommodate students from semester to semester as well, so one semester can be online for a student while the following semester could be in-person via HyFlex.
