Grove School Dean Gilda Barabino wins AIChE excellence award

Gilda A. Barabino, dean and Berg Professor in the Grove School of Engineering at The City College, is the winner of AIChE’s 2016 William W. Grimes Award for Excellence in Chemical Engineering.

The honor is in recognition of her outstanding achievements as a distinguished role model for underrepresented minorities in chemical engineering through mentoring, contributions to the community and for her excellent scientific contributions to the advancement of chemical engineering. It is given out by AIChE’s Minority Affairs Committee.
