Mark Reinhardt, Esq. is the Trust Chairman of the Reinhardt Family Foundation Trust.
The Reinhardt Family Foundation Trust established an annual fellowship program in 2024, and since then, the Reinhardt Family Fellowship has supported high-achieving, first-generation City College of New York students who demonstrate a commitment to social justice. Their latest gift—that brings their total CCNY funding to $93,000—will be used to support internship stipends for students enrolled in the Division of Humanities and the Arts.
The Reinhardt Foundation’s first gift of $42,000 provided recipients, at the Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership, with full tuition plus expenses over three years; In 2025, their second gift of $42,000 provided recipients, at the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture, the same over three years. Their current, and third, gift of $9,000 will be used to support three students, in the Division of Humanities and the Arts, with $3,000 stipends for internships.
"We are incredibly grateful for the Reinhardt Family Foundation Trust's continued partnership and generosity,” said Annika Lüdke, director of foundations and corporate relations at The Foundation for City College. “It is especially meaningful to see their support grow to encompass three schools at City College, expanding opportunities for even more students to pursue their academic and professional aspirations."
This latest gift also marks the creation of The Reinhardt Family Foundation Social Justice Fellowship Awards, which is overseen by Mark Reinhardt, Esq., Trust Chairman. The stipend will be awarded during the 2026-2027 academic year for internships at organizations that have a social justice mission.
“Our foundation board was excited when we heard about internships at CCNY. My legal career started with internships; they allowed me to gain a depth of understanding through hands-on work which would not have been possible otherwise,” said Reinhardt. “We believe these stipends will expose students to another type of learning, which will make them better in both school and life.”
Reinhardt is a founding partner of Reinhardt Wendorf & Blanchfield Law Firm and is of counsel to the firm. For the last 40 years, he has devoted a major amount of his practice to antitrust, complex commercial, and class action litigation.
He was able to attend college and law school through scholarships, and in the spirit of giving back, the Reinhardt Foundation has donated to several institutions that help those in need of financial assistance to continue their academic journey.
