Show your school pride with a CCNY license plate

The City College of New York and the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles have teamed up to create CCNY license plates so that alumni, staff, students, faculty and anyone who wants to display their CCNY pride have a new way to celebrate their school spirit.

The idea came about at the start of planning for the 170th anniversary. The college was looking for unique ways to expand the campus's public visibility, including the establishment of “Gear Up Tuesdays,” which encourages the college community to wear their favorite CCNY clothing and/or accessory every Tuesday.

Last May, CCNY kicked off the 175th anniversary with “The Campaign for City College: Doing Remarkable Things Together,” a campaign to triple its endowment to $1 billion over the next 10 years. CCNY continues to celebrate 175 years with Lavender Fever Homecoming Week 2023 from May 1-12 with the Presidential Humanitarian Awards Celebration 2023 on May 2.

CCNY license plates are available to all New York residents, including CCNY alumni, students, parents and fans. They are available in residential, personalized and commercial plates as well.
