Milestone lecture salutes CCNY alum and iconic developer Samuel Rudin, Class of 1918

A century after Samuel Rudin left The City College of New York to become an iconic real estate builder, owner and philanthropist, his grandson returns to CCNY March 15 to honor his towering legacy. “ My Family, Our City, Celebrating the Legacy of Samuel Rudin,” is the title of William (Bill) Rudin’s Samuel Rudin Distinguished Visiting Scholar Lecture 5:30 p.m. in Shepard Hall, room 350. Today, it is standard practice to detect many diseases through MRIs, PETs, X-rays, or CAT scans. But all of these medical imaging methods include some risk of radiation and take hours – if not days – to get results.
