Activating Your CityMail
Activating your CityMail account is an important step in your transition to becoming a full member of the City College Community. All matters related to your admission and enrollment at the College will be sent through your CityMail e-mail account, as well many important alerts and official announcements.
Your e-mail username also allows you to access the CCNY Wi-Fi, to log in to computers in the Tech Center and to reserve study rooms via WebCheckout.
Your CityMail account is automatically generated 72 hours after you register for classes. Activate your account here.

Activating Your Citizen CUNY Portal Account
This is your private and secure one-stop access point to CUNY on-line services such as Blackboard, eMall and CUNYfirst.
This is also where you can obtain your financial aid information, register for courses and learn about services and benefits offered through CUNY.

Activating Your WebCheckout Account
Students should visit the Reservation Desk in the TECH Center to register for WebCheckout, the reservation system used to gain Study Room access. Current CCNY students will be required to have a CityMail email address. Students must also present a valid student CCNY photo ID to register. Please allow up to five business days (Mon - Fri) for your account to be created. This will give you access to the following:
- 10 Media Study Rooms accommodating 3 to 6 patrons
- 16 Individual Mac Study Stations paired into 8 Study Rooms
- 16 Individual PC Study Stations paired into 8 Study Rooms
