Admissions and Program Requirements - Professional Certificate Program

Admissions

  1. Completion of an undergraduate major in history, anthropology, political science, economics, sociology or equivalent;
  2. Minimum 3.0 undergraduate GPA overall and in the major;
  3. Evidence of  New York State Initial Certification in Social Studies or equivalent; including NYSTCE examinations;
  4. Submit two letters of recommendation. 
  5. Attend an interview and complete an onsite essay.
