Language and Literacy, Master of Arts

The MA in Language & Literacy is a 30 credit program that is designed for the student who may want to pursue careers such as educators of adults or administrators of adult-oriented educational programs. Applicants would have earned a bachelor degree from programs in English, education, communications, journalism, psychology, sociology, foreign languages, or liberal arts and sciences.

Supporting Documents Required:

  • Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended
  • 2 letters of recommendation from college instructors on official stationary. One letter from a workplace supervisor may substitute for a letter from an instructor if the work is related to the Language and Literacy MA.
  • Resume/CV
  • Personal Statement
  • Writing Samples: Two (2) samples of college writing or professional writing
  • Interview with Program Advisor is optional and may be required
  • GRE Required: No
