The Jerome Foundation's Film, Video and Digital Production 2021 grant program application and guidelines are now available on their website and the application is now open.

The Foundation’s Film, Video and Digital Production grant program is open to early career film, video and digital production directors who work in the experimental, narrative, animation or documentary genres, or a combination of these forms. The grant program provides individual filmmakers support for specific projects, both short and full-length, for production.

The New York City Film, Video and Digital Production Grant provides up to $30,000 to support specific projects for all stages of production, including pre-production, production and post-production costs. Production Grants have been expanded to cover all stages of production, including pre-production costs. All programs do not fund retroactively: only costs incurred after the grant is awarded and a grant contract is signed will be supported. The awards do not require matching funds.

Hear from Lann Briel, the Program Officer with the Jerome Foundation. She is a former independent film artist and media content creator working with local Twin Cities non-profits including Forecast Public Art, Twin Cities Public Television and as the coordinator for Mn Artists, a program of the Walker Art Center. A member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Ojibwe, she is an advocate for Indigenous rights and is interested in advancing Indigenous art and artisans in film and contemporary art.
