The 25th Conference on Spanish in the United States/ 10th Conference on Spanish in Contact with Other Languages is coming to CCNY, has just taken place: here is an AP reporter's article.
The conference organizers were Dr. Edwin M. Lamboy, Associate Professor of Secondary Spanish Education and Spanish and Chair of the Secondary Education Department, and Dr. Laura Callahan, Professor of Hispanic Linguistics in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures. Sponsors included President Lisa S. Coico, the School of Education, the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, the Division of Humanities & the Arts, the Simon H. Rifkind Center for the Humanities & the Arts, the Center for Worker Education, the Ph.D. Program in Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian Literatures and Languages at The Graduate Center - CUNY, and the Cervantes Institute.
