CCNY rises in U.S. News & World Report's 2024 Best Colleges rankings

The City College of New York rose in several categories in the 2024 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings. CCNY is a top performer in social mobility (#11), undergraduate teaching (#39), and top public schools (#51), with an overall #105 ranking out of 443 national universities.

The City College leapt 45 places from last year to achieve the distinction of being ranked #105 overall among all national universities, and jumped to #51 from #72 in Top Public Schools among national universities. The College also climbed to #146 in Best Value Schools from #159, and to #11 from #12 in Top Performers on Social Mobility.

The College was also ranked in two new categories among national universities for 2024: #69 in Best Colleges for Veterans, and #161 in Undergraduate Psychology Programs.

The City College’s good showing in the U.S. News & World Report rankings come a month after The Princeton Review named it one of the nation's best institutions for undergraduates.
