City College achieves Princeton Review ‘Best Colleges’ ranking for fifth year

The City College of New York continues to be one of the nation’s best institutions for undergraduate education, according to the 2017 Princeton Review rankings released today.  Princeton also rates City College as one of the northeast's best colleges, one of the country's greenest colleges, and one of the "colleges that pay you back."

This information appears in the latest edition of “The Best 381 Colleges” published by The Princeton Review. It is based on data from surveys of 143,000 students at the 381 schools in the book. Students were asked 80 questions about:

  • Their school's academics/administration;
  • Life at their college;
  • Their fellow students, and themselves.

For CCNY, its place in the Princeton rankings, that represent only 15 % of the nation’s four-year colleges, continues the institution’s excellent results in both national and international rankings.

Last month, Forbes listed CCNY among America’s Top Colleges.  CCNY was also ranked in the top 1.2 % of institutions worldwide in the 2016 Center for World University Rankings.
