In an effort increase the number of health professionals from Harlem and to improve health outcomes in the community, Terri N. Watson, a City College of New York educator, co-created the CCNY-based Growing Our Own Doctor’s Project. For that, the Harlem native is an honoree at the 48th Annual African-American Day Parade on Sept. 17.
