I am pleased to announce the appointment of Hamlet Marte as Benefits Officer in the Office of Human Resources at The City College of New York.
Hamlet brings more than 13 years of progressive human resources experience with expertise in employee benefits administration, retirement programs, HR information systems, compliance, and employee relations. Most recently, he served as Human Resources Manager at Imagine Early Learning Centers, where he oversaw benefits administration, HR operations, recruitment, employee engagement, and HR technology initiatives. Prior to that, he spent nearly nine years with the Research Foundation of CUNY, supporting benefits administration, retiree services, HR operations, and personnel processes.
Hamlet holds a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Mercy College and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Lehman College.
As Benefits Officer, Hamlet will oversee the College's employee benefits programs and serve as a resource to faculty and staff on health insurance, retirement, leave programs, and related benefits matters. His experience with HR systems and process improvements, including supporting a major HRIS implementation, will also be a valuable asset as the College prepares for its transition to Workday.
