Innovative Finance to Confront Climate Change

Public administration master’s degree students Abubakar Usman, Elizabeth Sowunmi, and Nikita Voevodin are working with The Nature Conservancy and the City of Hudson, New York to identify community resources most at risk from climate change. The work, under the direction of Professor Brett Whysel, will also consider financing strategies for conservation projects. MPA students are also leading efforts to develop a summer internship program for the West Harlem Development Corporation and to prepare the next generation of technology leaders for New York OnTech.
