On November 15, the MPA Program hosted an in-person discussion with Dr. Christina Greer in the main MPA classroom, Shepard Hall Room 107.

In conversation with MPA Executive Director Bobby Derival, Dr. Greer offered her perspective on city politics in the wake of our November 7th, 2023 municipal elections.

The wide-ranging discussion included topics such as Dr. Greer's career path in public service, the issue of low voter turnout in the election, the major issues facing the city, and the major players making a difference. Dr. Greer also shared her perspective on the concept of social justice.

Dr. Greer, who will begin teaching at the MPA Program in the spring, is an Associate Professor at Fordham University and a Fellow at CCNY's Moynihan Center. She is the author of Black Ethnics: Race, Immigration, and the Pursuit of the American Dream.

The event was open to the CCNY community of faculty, staff, and students as well as the public. If you're interested in hearing more about such events, please sign up here.
