Honor Society

Chi Alpha Epsilon was founded in 1990 at West Chester University in Pennsylvania to recognize the academic achievements of students admitted to colleges via educational opportunity programs and/or developmental education programs, and students enrolled in student support services programs.  Among its purposes is the promotion of continued high academic achievement among its members.  There currently are more than 140 chapters of Chi Alpha Epsilon at colleges and universities throughout the country.  The City College Beta Theta chapter was established in 2001.  Students are considered for membership after they have completed a minimum of 45 credits with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 for two consecutive semesters.
