2023 Graduate Open House Month

Since 1847, the City College of New York has provided a high quality and affordable education to generations of New Yorkers in a wide variety of disciplines. Our virtual, month long open house is designed for you to learn more about the 60+ Masters, Ph.D. and Advanced Certificate programs offered at the City College of New York.


We were ranked #1 by The Chronicle of Higher Education out of 369 selective public colleges in the United States on the overall mobility index. This measure reflects both access and outcomes, representing the likelihood that a student at CCNY can move up two or more income quintiles.
In addition, the Center for world University Rankings places CCNY in the top 1.2% of universities worldwide in terms of academic excellence. More than 3,000 students pursue graduate degrees from eight professional schools and divisions. Important: For programs leading to initial certification, note that you do not need to have completed a prior degree in Education-the track is designed for prospective applicants with no experience or coursework in Education who are shifting to a career as an educator.

City College Cybersecurity M.S. Program Information Session

Please join us for an online informational meeting on City College’s Cybersecurity Master of Science Program. This program is based in the Grove School of Engineering and provides an excellent pathway for individuals looking to work in the tech field.

The Cybersecurity Program was established in part with seed funding from the New York City Economic Development Corporation as part of its Cyber NYC initiative, which was designed to address the growing need for cybersecurity professionals and to make New York City the global hub for cybersecurity. City College is also collaborating with private sector partners to develop an industry-informed curriculum to ensure that students are equipped with the theoretical foundations, technical skills, and applied learning experiences needed to enter the workforce in a critical field where there is a significant shortage of qualified professionals.

During the information session participants will hear from the Cybersecurity program team and will have the opportunity to ask questions about the program academics and the application.

STEM Careers Toward Climate Justice  Keynote Speaker - Professor Kyle McDonald, CCNY

Climate change is having a disproportionate effect on underrepresented and marginalized communities. Hence environmental justice concerns must be a key part of climate change mitigation and adaptation across the globe. Employers are more often seeking professionals equipped with the knowledge and tools to address these challenges, most notably in STEM fields. CUNY offers many Graduate Degree Programs with opportunities to focus studies and mobilize various STEM skills toward addressing climate justice in policy and practice. In this introduction to some of these graduate programs, we will introduce these programs, cover application requirements, relevant course offerings, and address questions about careers in climate justice following graduate school. Join us for this virtual open house to learn more!

The Sustainability in the Urban Environment Masters program draws upon emerging approaches in the disciplines of architecture, engineering, science, and social sciences. City College Downtown is the home of City College's Division of Interdisciplinary Studies. This City College satellite campus is located in the Center for Worker Education (CWE, founded in 1981). CWE provides excellent college education to working adults from New York City and surrounding regions. The courses and educational programs are specifically designed for students whose access to higher education has been limited or interrupted due to financial limitations, work responsibilities, and family obligations. Our Four-credit classes meet once a week, you can attend fully online, hyflex, hybrid, and in-person courses during the evenings and weekends.
