Tuition and Fees
Tuition is established by the University Board of Trustees and may change without prior notice. To complete registration and be admitted to classes, students must arrange full payment of tuition, fees, and other applicable charges. Students who may qualify for financial aid or grants are encouraged to contact the Financial Aid Office as early as possible.
New York State Residency Requirements
Residency status is determined at the time of admission to the College, and it directly affects the tuition rate. It is the student’s responsibility to provide documentation if their residency status is in question. An Application for Proof of Bona Fide Residency is available at the Office of the Registrar. New students must apply through the Office of Admissions.
Financial Aid
The Financial Aid Office administers federal and state aid, as well as funds from institutional and special programs. Federal funds can only be awarded to students who are in good academic standing and are not in default on a student loan or in repayment of a federal grant. For up-to-date information regarding application procedures, deadlines, and eligibility requirements, students should contact the Financial Aid Office directly.
Undergraduate Students Taking Graduate Courses
Undergraduate students taking graduate courses for graduate credit must pay the applicable resident or nonresident tuition rates set for graduate students. However, they are subject to the maximum tuition rate established for undergraduate students. Graduate tuition rates are listed in the Schedule of Classes and the Graduate Bulletin.

Maintenance of Matriculation Fee
A $225 fee per semester must be paid by all matriculated New York State resident graduate students who wish to maintain their academic standing during terms when they are not registered for course or research credits. The fee for non-residents is $370. Students paying this fee are exempt from the Activity Fee. Failure to pay the Maintenance of Matriculation fee will result in the student being considered withdrawn from the graduate program, requiring reapplication for readmission.

There may be additional costs and fees associated with academic work, such as textbooks, studio supplies, or lab materials. Notices of these additional fees will appear in the course listings in each semester’s Schedule of Classes.
Payment of Collection Costs
Students who do not pay their tuition, fees, and other college charges in full, resulting in their account being sent to a collection agency, will be responsible for all collection-related costs. These may include agency fees, attorney fees, and court costs, in addition to the outstanding amounts owed to the college. Furthermore, non-payment or a default judgment may be reported to credit bureaus and reflected in the student’s credit report.
