In this workshop you'll learn about fundraising, some things to keep in mind when starting an organization, and you'll get an overview about grant writing and what to keep in mind if you're interested in creating a nonprofit organization.

This workshop will be lead by Karin Romans, the Executive Director of Friends of New York City Nurse Family Partnership, a nonprofit dedicated to helping first-time, low-income moms. Karin has spent more than 16 years in fundraising, helping organizations carry out their important mission, including at the Zahn Center. She has worked a variety of fields, from women’s health to social justice to education.
