As the Registrar office operates on appointments, we provide walk-in services for all students
here at the One Stop! Our staff is committed to assist you with any questions related to course
enrollment procedures, verification letters, change of program, change of personal information,
and more.

Why can’t I register for classes on Schedule Builder?
Common reasons include:
• You do not have an enrollment appointment active.
• You have a hold on your CUNYfirst account, such as “In House Collection” or “Academic Advisement” required.
If you resolve the holds and get them removed from your account, but still can’t register, email
registrar@ccny.cuny.edu
and ask to be term activated. Please make sure to use your Citymail and provide your EMPLID in the email.
How can I register, add, or drop a class?
Everything can be done on CUNYfirst – Student Center – Schedule Builder. Please make sure to do so before the deadline (usually the day before the first day of the semester); dropping a class after the deadline will appear on your transcript.
Can I enroll for a class that is already full?
You may complete a Change of Program / Overtally Form (link) when enrolling for a class that is full. You will need permission and signatures from the professor of the class you’re trying to get into, academic department, and registrar. You can stop by our office to pick up or drop off the form!
How can I get a letter verifying that I attend/attended school?
You can submit an enrollment verification letter request through this link. Our Registrar representative will handle the request and you will be notified when it’s ready.
How can I change my residency status?
If you are a transfer student, you may submit a residency form (link) to registrar@ccny.cuny.edu . Please make sure to use your Citymail.
How can I change my personal information?
You may pick up or drop off a Change of Address / Personal Data (link) form here at our office! Our Registrar representative will handle the request and you will be notified once it’s processed.
NOTE: If you need audit forms or study abroad forms signed by the Registrar, feel free to stop by our office!
