The course and Teacher Survey (CTS) provides students with an opportunity to evaluate their instructors and courses. The information collected helps improve teaching and learning at CCNY and supports academic decision-making at the department and college level.
How the Course and Teacher Survey Works
Helping students complete the survey
A brief, neutral reminder can help students understand the purpose of the survey and find the official instructions.
Explain the purpose
Let your students know the survey is an opportunity to share feedback about their course experience.
Point to official details
Direct students to the survey links, timeline, and access guidance provided by the CTS Team.
Make room to respond
Where appropriate, set aside time for students to complete the survey.
Important CTS Information for Faculty
Administration
CT surveys are administered during the fall and spring semesters during the last two weeks of classes.
Students receive their survey links to their CCNY student email.
Courses Included
All courses are included in the administration of the CTS except for courses for School of Education and Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education.
Faculty Report
Reports are typically available 14 days after the end of the administration period and after grade submission and automatically emailed to your CCNY faculty/staff email.
