Who Are You?

Aspiring Engineer

Here’s how to move forward.

Pathway 
to Engineering

As a current student, you must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the Grove School of Engineering:

  1. Cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher overall
  2. Minimum 2.5 GPA in all college math and science courses, with no grades below the grade of C. Use a GPA Calculator to check your GPA.
  3. Completion of MATH 20100 and MATH 21200, with a grade of C or higher
  4. Completion of Physics 20700, with a grade of C or higher (Computer Science aspirants have the option of choosing between Bio 10100 or Chem 10301 or Phys 20700)
  5. Completion of 24 or more college-level credits

Once eligible, you may submit an iDeclare request within the following periods:

Fall Admission: May 15th - June 15th
Spring Admission: November 15th - December 15th

Your declaration of a major must be approved by the Grove School of Engineering.

Aspiring Architect

Here’s how to move forward.

Pathway to Architecture

As a current student applying for the Spitzer School of Architecture, you must:

  1. Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher
  2. Complete and submit the Creative Challenge (link) by February 1st
  3. Attach a copy of your unofficial transcript

What is the Creative Challenge?

The Creative Challenge is a 5 question drawing and writing exercise in place of a portfolio required to apply to the Spitzer School of Architecture. Please respond to the questions based on your own personal ideas and abilities.

Please note that the Spitzer School of Architecture only accepts students for the Fall semester. There is no Spring class admission. You must be accepted to the Spitzer School of Architecture before you can declare your major.
