Mindfulness Meditation
Mindfulness Meditation Group
May 15th is our last session for the Spring 24 semester, join us from 2pm – 3pm in Marshak J15.
Counseling groups provide support to students with similar problems, help them learn strategies for dealing with personal struggles, and give them the opportunity to talk about how they feel without being judged or pressured by others. Counseling groups meet weekly and engage students in a healing process geared to meet their own individual needs.
In the day to day stress of college life, the Mindfulness Meditation Group offers a calm space for students to find respite through guided mindfulness meditation. It is a time of quiet, self-reflection, to focus on the present by paying attention to thoughts, emotions and presence in the moment, without judgment. Using deep breathing and a focus on body sensations, students can develop a more skillful mind for awareness and stress reduction.
Group meets in person at the Counseling Center in Marshak J15.
