College Now (CN)

The CCNY College Now is in partnership with high schools in Manhattan and The Bronx.
Courses are offered on the City College campus and partner high schools.
The program is FREE to participating NYCPS students.
STEM Research Academy (STEM RA)
The STEM Research Academy offers New York City Public School 10th and 11th grade students the opportunity to develop critical scientific thinking skills through hands-on, inquiry-based research experiences. Students chosen for the program will enroll in a Spring DNA Detectives course.
The course meets on the CCNY campus after school twice a week. The students receive an elective high school credit upon successful completion of the course.
In the Spring, the DNA Detectives course participants will have the opportunity to apply to participate in a Summer Research Internship. During this internship, students will collaborate with faculty members from the City University of New York (CUNY) and/or the City College of New York (CCNY) to explore a research topic being conducted through the faculty mentors’ laboratory.
Interns are expected to complete a minimum of 100 hours of research in the summer and participate in a weekly seminar and workshop.
Future Ready NYC (FRNYC)
Future ReadyNYC is an initiative led by the New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) in which participating high schools develop career pathways in Business and Finance, Education, Healthcare, and Technology. The program offers students a comprehensive introduction to high-growth career pathways through a combination of career exploration, campus visits through CUNY Explorers, and coursework. It is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and real-world exposure needed to succeed in demanding industries.
Through structured career pathway guidance, students gain insight into various professions, the educational requirements needed to enter them, and potential job opportunities. A visit to the college helps students envision their postsecondary options and better understand the environments where they may continue their education or training.
The FRNYC courses are offered at the partner high school and the 12th grade year students take their respective course on the City College of New York campus.
The program is FREE to participating NYCPS students.
