Over the past two semesters during his sabbatical, City College of New York Earth and Atmospheric Science Associate Professor Z. Johnny Luo spent hundreds of hours on scientific flights studying cloud dynamics. On Thursday, October 30, photo images from his airborne missions go on display in the exhibit “Flying into the Hurricane: Science in Action” in the Marshak Café at CCNY. It runs through fall 2015. Associate Professor Maria Tzortziou of the earth and atmospheric science (EAS) department and NOAA CREST has received two three-year research grants from NASA for research on Carbon Dynamics along Terrestrial-Aquatic Interfaces. He is CCNY's tenth Nobel laureate. In a once-in-a-lifetime exhibit on American soil, Antoni Gaudi's famous " La Sagrada Familia" goes on display September 29 through May 8, 2015 at The City College of New York's Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture.
