Program Requirements

1. Pre-Health

If you are an undergraduate student and have completed all requirements below, please complete the application (using your CUNYfirst credentials, e.g., FirstName.LastName##@login.cuny.edu ). Otherwise, refer to the Pre-Pre-Health section below.

HOW TO ACCESS THE FORM: After opening the application form, click on "Sign in options" then select "Sign in to an organization". Enter the domain name login.cuny.edu. Enter your CUNYfirst username. You will be brought to the sign-in page to enter your CUNYfirst username and password.

  • have a cumulative 3.0 GPA as well as a 3.0 GPA in science courses;
  • have completed one year in general biology;
  • one semester of general chemistry;
  • one semester of calculus.

Pre-Health students must maintain a 3.0 overall GPA to remain in the program. Should the GPA drop below 3.0, students will be placed on program Probation the next semester. Should they fail to reach the 3.0 GPA after their probationary semester, they will be dismissed from the program.

2. Pre-Pre-Health

This is a way for you to be able to gain valuable insight in regards to what is required to become a full pre-health student, which allows you to transition seamlessly into the Program once the eligibility requirements are met.

What are the benefits of Pre-Pre Health?

  • allows you to build a relationship with the Pre-Health Office. 
  • able to learn about opportunities that are afforded to the Pre-health community within our program via email and other social media.
  • have on going self-assessment appointments to gauge your success and to see areas that needs improvement.

Pre-Pre Health students are allotted three semesters only to meet the eligibility requirements. During this time you should plan on being active in the Program to ensure success and being a "good citizen" in the program.
