CUNY Archibus replaces ForumCURES

The Department of Facilities Management (DFM) has been working with CUNY to upgrade their work request system, called "Archibus", to a new web-based version with increased licensing and other beneficial functions. Therefore, the Division of Science (DoS) has decommissioned forumCURES, in favor of the more robust Archibus platform. Some advantages of Archibus over forumCURES are worthy of note: 1) requests are sent directly to Facilities Management without the need for any mid-level review, 2) you may review and follow up on your prior submissions using Archibus' "View Requests" feature, and 3) you will get automatic emails whenever the status of your work request is changed in the Archibus system.

To allow individuals to continue to submit work requests, we have been working with CUNY and DFM to create Archibus user accounts for DoS faculty and others as "facilitators". Archibus facilitators have direct access to the Archibus user interface via the following log on parameters:

User Name / Password = The user's CUNYfirst credentials

If you are not able to log on to the Archibus system, you either:

  1. You do not have an account in the Archibus system, or
  2. There is a mismatch in the email address entries in the Archibus database tables for CCNY employees vs. Archibus users

To solve these problems,

  1. Contact the Archibus facilitator in your department office and ask to have a work request submitted on your behalf, or
  2. Contact DFM at 212-650-8675 to give them your correct email address so they can make sure there is no data mismatch in that regard, or request that you be set up as an Archibus facilitator

Keep in mind that IT, audiovisual and telecommunications issues are to be reported to: . Security problems (card readers, alarms, cameras, etc.) are to be reported to Campus Security and Public Safety (212-650-6911), and health and safety issues to the Office of Environmental Health and Occupational Safety: . Just about every other physical building problem can be reported to DFM by submitting a work request via Archibus. For more information about the types of work covered by DFM, see this link:
