M.S.E.D Educational Theatre/Professional Certification in Theatre Pre K-12

Program Planning Sheet

Candidates who hold initial certification in Theatre and have three years teaching experience. This stream will provide requisite advanced coursework in Educational Theatre and all requisite content pedagogy courses for professional certification. No student teaching is required.

EDCE 7600A: Artistic Lab I 0 credit (Offered as a Lab with Drama in Education) (Offered in Fall & Spring Semesters)
EDCE 4400C: Arts Integration: Theatre and Related Arts in the Curriculum (Grades PK-12) +15 Hours of Fieldwork
EDCE 3600C: Theatre for Youth and Young Audience +15 Hours of Fieldwork (Offered in Fall Semester)
EDCE 3100F: Curriculum Development in Educational Theatre +15 Hours of Fieldwork (Offered in Fall Semester) 

 

REQUIRED
4 Credits (Each Course is 2 credits) to be taken over 2 semester final two semesters
