The TECH Center provides over 300 workstations where students can work on assignments, check email, and use software packages needed for class.

This facility is sectioned into General Computing Areas, technology-enabled Student Training Centers (STC), Media Study Rooms (MSR), and two-person Study Rooms (SR).  The three STC labs extends the General Computing Area when classes are not in session.

The ten Media Study Rooms can each accommodate up to six students for collaboration purposes and has dual flat panel displays, white boards, and laptop connectivity.  Laptops are also available for use in these Media Study Rooms.  The two-person Study Rooms are also available students and work well for studying with a friend or working with a tutor. Software  Installation Requests:

Please email software requests (i.e. installation, upgrade, configuration changes) to . To allow sufficient time for implementation and testing, the deadline for submitting software requests is the last day of the previous semester. Once installed, the requestor will then be contacted to make arrangements to test and confirm the software is working properly.

Student Technology Classrooms:

Instructors and students are advised to visit the TECH Center in advance to ensure that you can log into the computer systems with your CCNY email accounts.  If there are any issues, the Front Desk staff at the TECH Center will be able to resolve them so that everyone can be ready at the session's start time.  Temporary guest accounts are available at the Front Desk with proper ID, and access to the STC labs is provided by the senior TECH Center staff or Front Desk staff.

Instructors Requesting a Reservation
Instructors teaching in STC-2 or STC-3 can optionally register to use the LanSchool software in these labs.
To request a reservation, please contact the Registrar's office using (ONLY) this email, , two weeks in advance.

Employment Opportunities:

We are currently accepting resumes for the following positions at the CCNY IT Computer Labs including the cITy TECH Center.

Computer Lab Assistant/Reservation Assistant (up to 20 hours per week, 12 hour minimum)
Description: Provide excellent customer service; Provide computer software and hardware assistance to patrons; Respond to general technical questions; Interact with students, faculty and staff; Assist other IT staff when necessary; etc; Assist the TECHCenter Reservation Coordinators; Assist with coordinating access to Media Study Rooms, Study Rooms, and STC Classrooms; Assist with booking reservations;  Interact with students, faculty and staff;  Respond to general questions about the TECHCenter;  Assist other IT staff when necessary; etc

Federal Work-Study Students (up to 20 hours per week, 4-hour minimum)
