The Inner Circle Fellowship provides students with stipends of $1,000 for the fall 2026 and spring 2027 semesters. Students participate in career enhancement seminars and trips off campus to augment their classes in journalism, communications, political science, sociology, economics, finance, arts and culture and related fields.

The fellowship is made possible by the Inner Circle, a group of New York City political reporters and public relations professionals who produce and perform in a satirical show about New York City Hall and New York politics. In 2026, the show called "Free-For-All" featured Mayor Zohran Mamdani who performed and responded to the group's roast of him.

To qualify for the Inner Circle Fellowship:

MUST

• be a full-time undergraduate student at CCNY for the duration of the fellowship

• take at least one journalism class during the fall 2026 semester, and at least one journalism class during the spring 2027 semester

• attend scheduled workshops

Students from all majors can apply 

No GPA or citizenship requirement
