I don’t expect you to be good at math or to know any of the material, but I do expect you to work hard and ask for help. Never copy any material from any source at any time, and email me questions whenever you’re stuck or lost.
Seriously, email me all the time. You are not a burden, you (the student) are the whole point.
We’ll be working our way through the textbook, approximately one chapter/lecture per class. Among other things, we’ll cover:
The quantum state and the quantum postulates Quantum Measurements
Coherence
Quantum Circuits
Quantum Logic Entanglement
Teleportation
Quantum Key Distribution
The Grover search algorithm
The Shor Factoring Algorithm
Quantum Channels and Noise
Quantum Error Correction
Information and Quantum Information Theory
