Grading Policy
Quizzes (WileyPlus): 10% Home Work (WileyPlus): 15%
Attendance and Participation 10% (5 + 5) Lab 15%
Midterm Exam (WileyPlus & Blackboard): 25% Final Exam (WileyPlus & Blackboard): 25%
Quiz:
• There is a Quiz every week posted in WileyPlus.
• The quiz will be available every Friday at 12:00 AM and remain available till next Monday at 5:59 PM.
• Duration of the quiz is of 30 minutes. Whenever you open the quiz, you have 30 minutes to complete.
• The topic will be the lesson of the previous week.
• Type of questions will be multiple choice with work to show for mathematical problems.
• There will be no make up for the quiz.
• The quiz is open book.
Home Work:
• There will be one HW each week in WileyPlus.
It will be available from Every Saturday 12:00 AM to every Friday, 11:59 PM.
• No late submission will be accepted.
Attendance:
• You will be given an in-class activity in every lecture and recitation classes, 5 quizzes on the running topic. Towards the end of the classes. Attending the quiz will have 1 point and correctness of the answers will have another 1 point.
• Attendance in the recitation class will be consider separately.
• Attending the lab is mandatory. If you do not have a lab attendance you will not pass.
Exams:
• There will be one midterm exam and one final exam. The exams will be interactive in WileyPlus.
• For the date and syllabus for each of the midterm exam, please check the table below.

• Just like the quiz, the exams will open at 12:00 AM of the first day mentioned in the table and will remain available till 11:59 PM of the second day.
• The exam is open book.
Recitation:
• The recitation classes will be used as mentoring sessions, where you will be solving assigned problems.
• Also we will discuss questions that you will have.
• Attendance is mandatory.
Lab:
• It is mandatory to participate in the labs.
• The lab TA will (if not already) directly communicate with you.
• There will be separate lab sessions.
• I will collect the lab attendance and the grade from the TA
• If you do not have lab attendance, then you will NOT pass. So please attend the lab sessions, follow the instructor and submit the lab reports on time and as expected.
