Undergraduate students interested in obtaining teacher certification in secondary science should fulfill the minor requirements listed below. Note that the Departments of Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Atmospheric Science, and Physics all offer specific tracks for majors interested in becoming teachers.
Requirements for the program leading to teacher certification in secondary science include:
- Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in a field of science (e.g. biology, chemistry, earth and atmospheric science)
- Education courses
- Passing scores on relevant state exams
