Richard Sam and Paul Mérisier, two of the co-founders of IEEE Haiti, traveled to Monterrey, Mexico to attend the IEEE Region 9 Meeting from March 11-14th. They were asked to present IEEE Haitis recent accomplishments. This was the first time Haiti was represented at the meeting that includes IEEE organizations from Latin American and Caribbean countries. We didnt know what to expect when we got to the conference. Her social enterprise startup, Le Sel Foundation, will modernize salt production and distribution to advance the market in Haiti.
