I am interested in applying to the undergrad education program. What are the requirements?

Requirements are listed on the program sheet (depending on program). You need to make an appointment to speak with one of our faculty advisers regarding your interests and for an evaluation of your prior coursework for your program of interest.

Along with advising, all interested applicants must take and pass the School of Education Admissions Test, which includes an essay and an interview on-site.

What is the minimum GPA to apply for the Childhood/Bilingual education program?

Minimum GPA must be 2.5 and above.

I am interested in majoring in Secondary education. What must I do?

We offer a concentration in the following areas: English, Mathematics, Science, Spanish, Art, Social Studies.

I am interested in being an Early Childhood Teacher. What must I do?

The Undergraduate Early Childhood Education program is based at the Center for Worker Education located in downtown Manhattan. This is an evening and weekend program designed to accommodate students who work full time. 

A graduate program in Early Childhood is offered at the main campus.
