News from the Cosmos:

The Unsettling Universe

In the last few decades, we have completed a Standard Model of Particle Physics, and a Standard Model of Cosmology, only to learn how much we still do not know about the universe... And most of it has to do with its dark and invisible aspects.  They are so puzzling that they challenge our very understanding of the current formulation of the basic laws of nature.  It may be time to shift our current paradigms.  With new  experiments and theoretical developments, the next decade may bring a deeper and unexpected understanding of the universe and our role in it.  In this lecture, I will try to review some of the riddles whose solutions may unravel unexpected aspects of reality.
