The Civil Engineering Department congratulates Chair and Professor Anil Agrawal on receiving the 2026 Faculty Service Award from The Alumni Association of The City College of New York. Below is Dr. Agrawal's message shared following the award ceremony:
"It was so humbling experience to receive the 2026 Faculty Service Award from The Alumni Association of CCNY on June 11, 2026 during the 173rd Annual Members Meeting.
Established in 1962, Faculty Service award by the Alumni Association of the City College of New York recognizes current City College faculty members for exemplary service to the CCNY campus and community. Thank you Alumni Association of The City College of New York for the recognition. It was so amazing to meet decicated alumni of CCNY during the event!
Thank you very much John Eschemuller and Robert Welner for the nomination and thank you David Covington, Dean Alexander Couzis, Provost Tony Liss, President Vince Boudreau and Executive Vice President Dee Dee Mozeleski for the support.
Most exciting part of the event was to receive this award with my son, Ankit A., who was a newborn when I joined CCNY in 1998 and CCNY has als been an integral part of his life!
