The curriculum contains courses on breadth (topics outside of engineering) and core CE courses taken by all CE students. In their junior year, CE students select a specialization and within that specialization, take additional core courses and elective courses.

 

Breadth (66 credits)

Liberal Arts (24 credits):

  • English - ENGL 11000 & 21007 (2 courses: 6 credits)
  • Electives (6 courses: 18 credits; selected in accordance with GSOE policies noted at the bottom of the curriculum matrix)

Science (35 credits):

  • Chemistry - CHEM 10300 & 10400 (2 courses: 8 credits)
  • Computer Science - CSc 10200 (1 course: 3 credits)
  • Math - MATH 20100, 20200, 20300, 39100, 39200 (5 courses: 16 credits)
  • Physics - PHYS 20700 & 20800 (2 courses: 8 credits)

Science Electives (3 credits): Choice of one course
