Sheryl Roberts holds an associate degree in business management and marketing from Borough of Manhattan Community College (CUNY). She worked for Getty Petroleum Marketing Inc. from 1997 to 2011. In her role as Regional Coordinator for the upstate and downstate locations, she was responsible for preparing lease agreements, maintaining monthly station lists, and assisting with company promotions.
Ms. Roberts started working at the CCNY School of Education in 2014. As a temporary worker, she assisted a faculty member on a project involving transcribing audio files to script. Soon after that, she became an assistant in the Office of Finance and Operations, under the supervision of Aelicia Yeates. Her duties included preparing disbursements and PAFs.
Currently, Ms. Roberts is part of the School of Education Office of Admissions and Student Services (OASS) team, directed by Stacia Pusey, Assistant Dean of Enrollment and Student Services. In this office, she schedules advisement appointments for students, sets up the Childhood Education interview, and updates the calendar. But her most important role is to make everyone who stops by the OASS welcome, valued, and appreciated. She is the first person you usually see when you walk into this office, and being greeted with a smile and a friendly “Hello!” means a lot to all of us, especially our students.
