Below, you will find step-by-step guides on how to upload documents to the Content Management System.
Uploading PDFs
- Sign in to the CMS
- Click on "Manage" and then "Content"
- Click on "Media" which is located towards the right of the page
- Click on "Add Media" and select the document
- Give the file a name
- Document - upload your accessible pdf
- Check the box "confirm that the uploaded document is 508"
- Change "Draft" to "Published"
- Save
- You now will be redirected to a page with all of the media files, and you will see your file at the top of the list
- Click on the file name and the file will open in a new window
- Click on the name of the file once again
- The pdf will open up in the content management system, and you are free to use the URL on your subsite by adding a hyperlink
Uploading Word Docs
- Sign in to the CMS
- Click on "Manage" and then "Content"
- Click on "Media" which is located towards the right of the page
- Click on "Add Media" and select the document
- Give the file a name
- Document - upload your accessible pdf or word doc
- Check the box "confirm that the uploaded document is 508"
- Change "Draft" to "Published"
- Save
- You will be redirected to a page with all of the media files, and you will see your file at the top of the list
- Click on the file name, and the file will open in a new window
- Right-click on the file name, and select "copy the link address"
- Now you are free to use the URL on your subsite by adding a hyperlink
