Uploading Documents

Below, you will find step-by-step guides on how to upload documents to the Content Management System.

Uploading PDFs

  1. Sign in to the CMS
  2. Click on "Manage" and then "Content"
  3. Click on "Media" which is located towards the right of the page
  4. Click on "Add Media" and select the document
  5. Give the file a name
  6. Document - upload your accessible pdf 
  7. Check the box "confirm that the uploaded document is 508"
  8. Change "Draft" to "Published"
  9. Save
  10. You now will be redirected to a page with all of the media files, and you will see your file at the top of the list
  11. Click on the file name and the file will open in a new window
  12. Click on the name of the file once again 
  13. The pdf will open up in the content management system, and you are free to use the URL on your subsite by adding a hyperlink

Uploading Word Docs

  1. Sign in to the CMS
  2. Click on "Manage" and then "Content"
  3. Click on "Media" which is located towards the right of the page
  4. Click on "Add Media" and select the document
  5. Give the file a name
  6. Document - upload your accessible pdf or word doc
  7. Check the box "confirm that the uploaded document is 508"
  8. Change "Draft" to "Published"
  9. Save
  10. You will be redirected to a page with all of the media files, and you will see your file at the top of the list
  11. Click on the file name, and the file will open in a new window
  12. Right-click on the file name, and select "copy the link address"
  13. Now you are free to use the URL on your subsite by adding a hyperlink
