Sticky Menu

What is a Sticky Menu?

A sticky menu is a navigation that is locked into an area on a website and does not disappear when the user interacts with the web page. In other words, it is accessible from anywhere on the website without having to scroll.

Where can you find a sticky menu on the CCNY website?

Main navigation

The main navigation, the purple heading with the CCNY logo, appears on every page and as you scroll through the page it remains stuck to the top.

Subsite sub-menu (upcoming enhancement)

Before the website upgrade, a sub-menu was located on the left side of the webpage but as many content editors expressed they wanted a full-width website a few changes were made. The sub-menus were moved to the top of the page and sits below the main navigation. Many editors took the time to clean up their menu structure while others are still working on it. The end goal is to have the subsite sub-menu on one line or two lines maximum to enhance user experience.
