Request Books in Alternative Format:
Students who need books provided in an alternative format (e.g., audio, large print, Braille) should email requests to textaccess@ccny.cuny.edu . Please include author, title and edition, if applicable, as well as the book sections needed. Course instructors may also submit requests through this portal for students. We will contact you if you need to bring the physical book in for scanning. Requests will be processed as soon as possible but can take varying lengths of time to fulfill depending on the amount and nature of the material and alternative format needed.
Students using Kurzweil 3000 or another text-to-speech system can also scan books themselves in the AAC/SDS Assistive Tech Lab, NAC 1/217A, and at accessible workstations in the Marshak Science Library, the Architecture Library and in the computer lab at the Center for Workforce Education (CWE).
