A press conference to announce the grant presented to the CUNY DSI on November 8, 2004 by City Council Speaker Grifford Miller, City Council Education Committee Chair Charles Barron, and City Council Member Miguel Martínez. They made a ceremonial check presentation to Dr. Ramona Hernández, CUNY DSI Director and Dr. Gregory Williams, President of City College. The grant will be used to expand the Institute's library and to construct the Dominican Archives.
