Launched this week, the Northern Manhattan, Harlem, and South Bronx Community COVID-19 Vaccination Scheduling Hotline is now open for appointments at the Washington Heights Armory for individuals who live in eligible zip codes and are age 65 and over. In response to the ongoing Pandemic, uninsured New Yorkers can apply for coverage through NY State of Health (New York's Official Health Plan Marketplace) or directly through insurers. The Open Enrollment Period is now extended through May 15, 2021. This extension allows individuals eligible for Qualified Health Plan insurance additional time to enroll for coverage in 2021 and means that enrollment remains open for all NY State of Health programs, which is especially important during the ongoing public health emergency. The New York State Homes and Community Renewal Agency (HCR) announced that the NYS COVID Rent Relief Program will be accepting new applications beginning December 18, 2020 through February 1, 2021. The eligibility criteria has been expanded to provide more relief for New Yorkers.
