There have been several legislative updates that impact some of the provisions within the various Employee Benefit Programs that we wanted to make you aware of.
1) Flexible Spending Accounts Program:
On March 27, 2020, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (“CARES Act”) was passed and it allows an expansion of the types of medical/health care items that participants may claim through their HCFSA accounts effective January 1, 2020. Lavender Fever Week is our institution's school spirit week which is an annual tradition at CCNY giving everyone an opportunity to get involved and show their Beaver pride.
This year we want to show our school spirit by kicking off the week and giving back to a worthy cause by having a Relay for Life event. Relay For Life is a community based overnight fundraising event of the American Cancer Society. Each year, more than 5,000 Relay For Life events take place in over twenty countries.
